[por] Examina os mecanismos de proteção dos direitos humanos dentro do sistema interamericano, fazendo breve demonstrativo do tratamento dispensado a esses direitos ao longo da história, e apreciando, destacadamente, julgado da Corte Interamericana de Direitos Humanos sobre um leading case envolvendo o Brasil. Ao final, aponta algumas sugestões e indica a recente posição do sistema relativamente à pandemia causada pela Covid-19.[eng] This study examines the mechanisms of protection of human rights within the inter- American system, briefly demonstrating the treatment of these rights throughout history, and appreciating, especially, the judgment of the Inter- American Court of Human Rights on a leading case involving Brazil. At the end, he points out some suggestions and indicates the recent position of the system in relation to the pandemic caused by Covid-19.
